I was born and raised in Chicago, IL. My family relocated to Detroit, MI, where I began high school. I attended Cass Technical and Mumford high schools. I am a Wayne State University graduate. I became an official member of Fellowship Chapel in 1987. In my early adulthood, I worked in various sectors as an executive administrative assistant. In 2001, I started my own company, Gian-Chris, Inc. Additionally, I am the Director of the Freedom Institute for Economic, Social Justice and People Empowerment and the James E. Wadsworth, Jr. Community Center.
